A tough stainless steel mesh panel secured within a brown plastic frame, designed to cover air bricks and stop rodents and insects using them as an entry point. The mesh provides a solid barrier that resists gnawing and prevents pests forcing their way through, while the brown frame sits discreetly against brickwork for a tidier appearance on exposed elevations.

Air bricks are one of the most common entry points for mice, rats and insects because they are designed to allow constant airflow beneath floors and inside cavity walls. That airflow is essential for preventing damp, but it also leaves a direct opening into the property. This cover mounts over the external face of the air brick, blocking access without restricting ventilation.

The stainless steel mesh is resistant to gnawing and will not rust or corrode over time, even in exposed outdoor conditions. The surrounding plastic frame provides rigidity and support, and is both weather-resistant and UV-stable to prevent cracking or degradation. Unlike plain metal covers, the brown finish helps it sit unobtrusively against brickwork, making it suitable for front-facing walls as well as side and rear elevations.

Installation can be carried out using screws for a permanent mechanical fixing, or with a strong exterior-grade adhesive where drilling is not appropriate. Fixings are not included, as different wall types — brick, render, stone or timber — require specific screw types and lengths. Small and large versions are also available for small and square air bricks.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: These covers must not be installed over air bricks or vents that provide combustion air to gas appliances. Restricting airflow to gas appliances increases the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
