Rodents chewing through expanding foam, sealant, or standard wire wool within weeks? This stainless steel mesh is designed to create a long-term barrier by packing tightly into gaps and preventing gnawing through weak or temporary materials.

Unlike flat mesh products designed for covering openings, this flexible fill material is made for stuffing and sealing irregular gaps. It compresses during installation and expands once in place, allowing it to conform to uneven cavities and create a tight, secure barrier.

The material combines coarse stainless steel fibres with interwoven synthetic fibres. The steel provides chew resistance, preventing rats and mice from chewing through the barrier. The added poly fibres give the mesh flexibility and bulk, allowing it to fill gaps completely without leaving entry points around the edges.

This dual-material construction overcomes the limitations of traditional proofing methods. Steel wool can rust and break down in damp conditions. Foam and sealants are easily chewed through. Rigid mesh cannot adapt to uneven openings. This mesh remains stable in all environments while adapting to the shape of the cavity and maintaining its structure over time.

To install, tear off a section slightly larger than the opening. Compress it and push it firmly into the gap. Once released, the material expands and holds firmly in place through friction against surrounding surfaces. For larger or exposed areas, it can be secured with fixings and finished with mortar or sealant if required.

Suitable for use around pipe entries, air bricks, soffits, wall cracks, vents, and other access points where rodents may enter. Ideal for gaps where a flat mesh would be difficult to fit or secure. The 3 metre roll provides enough material to seal multiple entry points in a typical property. The 100mm width covers common gaps without the need for cutting, while still allowing the mesh to be torn and shaped as needed.
