Mastertrap 2-in-1 Pantry and Clothes Moth Trap Refill Pads

Most households encounter both pantry moths (Indian meal moth, flour moth and grain moths) and clothes moths (common clothes moth and case-bearing clothes moth). In many cases it’s difficult to tell which species is present until damage appears. These dual-pheromone refill pads attract both moth types at the same time, allowing you to monitor and trap activity across your home without needing separate traps for each species.

Each pad contains two species-specific pheromones blended directly into the adhesive surface, eliminating the need to identify the moth species before deploying traps.

The pheromone blend mimics the natural scent released by female moths. Male moths detect the pheromone from several metres away, fly toward the source and become immobilised on the sticky surface. Capturing male moths interrupts the breeding cycle and helps reduce the number of eggs laid in affected areas. Each pad remains effective for up to three months after opening, and the sealed aluminium foil packaging keeps unused pads fresh for long-term storage.

These refills are useful when you are unsure which moth species is active, when protecting multiple areas such as kitchens, cupboards and wardrobes, or when moving into a new property and monitoring for early moth activity. If a confirmed infestation of a single species is present, species-specific pheromone pads may provide stronger attraction, but dual-purpose pads offer a convenient solution when broader coverage is required.

The refill pads fit standard paper trap hangers but can also be used as standalone sticky monitors if required. Position traps at eye level or slightly above, as moths tend to fly upward toward light and prefer elevated areas when mating. For best results, avoid placing more than two traps in an average-sized room, as too many pheromone sources can interfere with the scent trail and reduce trap performance.

Placement Tips
Hang traps at eye level or higher. Use one to two traps per room — adding more traps does not increase catches and may reduce effectiveness by creating competing pheromone plumes. If pads become difficult to separate due to heat during transport, place them in the freezer for 2–3 minutes before peeling apart.
