Description
Moths flying around your kitchen cupboards or finding webbing in stored foods? Pantry moths such as Indian meal moths, Mediterranean flour moths, and grain moths infest dry goods like cereals, flour, pasta, and pet food. Adult moths lay eggs in cracks, crevices, and food packaging. When larvae hatch, they spin silk webbing and contaminate stored food.
These paper traps use pheromone glue boards that attract and capture male pantry moths. The pheromone mimics the scent female moths release for mating, drawing males toward the trap where they land on the adhesive surface and become stuck. Removing male moths helps reduce mating and allows you to detect infestations early.
The traps fold into a compact triangular tent that sits neatly on cupboard shelves or hangs inside cabinets. Their low-profile design fits easily behind stored food items without taking up valuable space. Each pheromone pad remains effective for up to 12 weeks. The included refill pads allow you to use the traps immediately and keep replacements ready to maintain continuous monitoring.
Placement Tips
Place traps inside cupboards, pantry shelves, or other food storage areas where dry goods such as flour, cereals, rice, pasta, or pet food are kept. Position traps toward the back of cupboards or near areas where moth activity has been noticed. Avoid placing traps near open windows, strong airflow, or direct sunlight, as this can disperse the pheromone scent. Typically, one trap per cupboard or pantry area is enough, as too many traps in a small space may reduce effectiveness.
Helpful Tip
If the protective backing strip on the sticky pad is difficult to remove, which can sometimes occur after warm transport, place the pad in the freezer for around five minutes to help the backing peel away cleanly.
