Mastertrap Clothes Moth Trap Pheromone Refill Pads

Clothes moths don't eat fabric - their larvae do. Adult moths exist only to mate and lay eggs. By the time fabric damage becomes visible, eggs have often already been laid. These pheromone refill pads work by targeting male moths before they can mate, helping break the reproduction cycle at its source.

Each pad releases a synthetic female pheromone that attracts male clothes moths onto the sticky glue surface. By trapping the males, mating is prevented and egg laying is reduced - which means fewer larvae feeding on wool, silk, cotton, cashmere, and other natural fibres. Used consistently and replaced on schedule, the pads help steadily reduce moth populations rather than simply catching occasional insects.

These refill pads can be used both to tackle existing moth activity and as an early warning system in vulnerable areas. A sudden increase in catches is often the first sign of a developing infestation, allowing you to act before serious fabric damage occurs.

This pack contains 10 refill pads, each lasting up to 12 weeks. Replace each pad when the glue surface becomes full or at the 12-week mark to maintain effectiveness. Compatible with Demi Diamond traps and most standard flat-format moth trap holders.

Placement Tips
Hang traps at eye level or higher in areas where clothing or fabrics are stored, such as wardrobes, cupboards, attic spaces, under-stairs storage, or rooms with wool carpets and soft furnishings.

Avoid placing traps near open windows, strong airflow, or direct sunlight, as these conditions can reduce pheromone effectiveness. One trap per room is usually sufficient. Using too many traps in the same space can dilute the pheromone signal and reduce catch rates.

Useful Tip
If the protective backing strip is difficult to peel - which can occasionally happen after warm transit - place the pad in the freezer for around five minutes. This helps the backing separate cleanly.
