Description
Pigeons and other birds need a flat surface to land or perch on. A spike strip removes that surface along the full depth it covers, so the bird can't get a foothold anywhere within range of the pins. This wide strip is sized for ledges, sills and beams up to 15cm deep — where the narrow strip stops short, this one reaches across the full surface, which matters because a partly-covered ledge still gives birds room to land on the uncovered section.
Common uses include wide windowsills, parapets, signage frames and flat roof edges — anywhere the narrow strip wouldn't reach across the full surface. The clear polycarbonate base sits low and is difficult to see once fitted, so it doesn't change the look of the building.
The base has multiple snap points along its length, so a single 33.4cm strip can be broken down by hand to fit shorter runs without tools or extra cutting. Fix through the pre-drilled holes with screws, around pipes and railings with cable ties, or with silicone adhesive for a permanent fixing on flat surfaces — the method depends on the surface, not the spike itself.
For ledges deeper than 15cm, a second row fitted with a slight overlap gives full coverage. For narrower surfaces where this strip would be more than needed, the narrow plastic strip covers up to 7.5cm.
