Description
Replacement pheromone refill pads for clothes moth traps, designed to fit Mastertrap hangers and most common hanger formats. As the adhesive surface fills or the pheromone loses strength over time, catch rates drop off and traps become less effective. Swap the pad and use your hanger again.
Each pad combines a synthetic female pheromone with an adhesive surface that attracts and captures adult male clothes moths. By continuing to remove males from the breeding cycle, activity can be monitored and reduced without replacing the full trap.
Pads should be replaced once full or after up to 12 weeks of use. When fitting a new pad, position it back in the same location where moth activity has previously been observed to maintain consistent monitoring.
For best results, place at eye level or higher inside wardrobes, cupboards or storage areas where fabrics are kept undisturbed, including attic spaces, under-stairs storage and rooms with wool carpets or soft furnishings. Avoid placing near open windows, strong airflow or direct sunlight, as these conditions can reduce pheromone effectiveness.
If the protective cover sheet is difficult to peel, which can occasionally happen after warm transit, place the pad in the freezer for around five minutes to help it separate cleanly. Unused pads should be kept sealed until required. Pads can be used with a hanger or placed directly inside wardrobes or storage areas if preferred. The hanger is sold separately.
